Hey Everyone!

I’m rushing off to Seattle for the weekend, so I’m gonna make this quick. My Microjam post for this week is another chiptune, just like the first one I did. Unlike the first post though, this one is a bit more complex; the more I explore with Logic’s ES1 synth, the more I learn how to tweak it to get a variety of cool sounds out of it, most of which sound like they’re right out of eighties video games. There is a lot more variety in this chiptune than the first one, and I added a more reverb and reflectivity to give it a fuller sound.

I wanted this piece to sound very exploratory. I was going for an atmosphere of mystery; I wanted to project the idea that you’re delving deeper and deeper into a subterranean base of cavern, somewhere dank and dark where you have no idea what you’ll find around the next corner.

Guh. Not that dank. I would never do that to you, dear listener.

As usual, I’d love to know what you think of it, so sound off in the comments below, or find me on Twitter! Thanks for listening!
